Iota Nu at Large Newsletter for November
Hello, Iota Nu at Large!
We have had a very busy Fall season and I wanted to let you know about a few events, some past and some upcoming:
UT Tyler hosted its Fall, 2016 Induction on October 25 in the UC Ballroom, with 55 inductees, including 3 nurse leaders. Custom cookies, complete with the Sigma Theta Tau logo were a delicious alternative to cake. Insert pic.
Texas A&M University-Commerce will present their first induction of new members on Thursday, November 3 at 6:00pm at the Nursing Building on campus. The physical address is 2600 S Neal Street, Commerce, Tx. For more information, or to view a campus map and/or receive a parking pass, please contact Monica Tenhunen at Monica.Tenhunen@tamuc.edu This is sure to be a very special event. If anyone from Tyler would like to ride along with me to Commerce on that day, I will be leaving from UT Tyler at 3:30pm, so just let me know.
The Board of Directors held the last meeting on October 20, with another scheduled for November 10. The November meeting will be open to all membership, so I hope you will consider joining us at 6:00pm at The Cascades Clubhouse Bellwood Dining Room. Meals will be available for purchase. No RSVP required.
Our traditional Fall Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday evening, November 15 at the Potpourri House in Tyler at 6pm. We are honored to have a special guest, Debbie Waldrop, MSN, RN, CCRC presenting “Revealing the Mystery Behind Alpha-1”, approved for one CEU, which we offer free of charge to all Iota Nu at Large members. Don’t miss this special event! No RSVP required. Meals available for purchase.
