Mentoring

Accessing Research Instruments via the Virginia Henderson Research Library

Utilizing and accessing research instruments for use can be a significant barrier to researchers.  Please view this webinar about a new access point within the
Virginia Henderson Open Access e-Repository
to preserve and make accessible research instruments and tools free of charge.

This will accomplish several things:  preserves the work of nurse scholars worldwide, supports and advances nursing research and practice, increases access and availability of measurement tools, utilizes a resource that is currently available to everyone, creates a community of nurse scholars, and enriches the work of current and future nurse scientists.

This webinar was created by

Dr. Danita Alfred, Dr. Susan Yarbrough, and Dr. Pam Martin from The University of Texas at Tyler.

This proposal was initially presented at the Sigma Theta Tau International Leadership Conference in September, 2016; the link to the e-repository and to the tools and measures folder within that system is available within this presentation.

Thank you to these exceptional scholars for sharing this information with Iota Nu at Large Chapter!!!

Volunteers

Have you ever thought of serving on the Board of Directors for your local Iota Nu at Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International?

We WANT YOU!!!!

Perhaps you would like to develop your leadership skills a bit before serving?

Then check out our Mentorship Program within the chapter?

That is a great way to learn the processes, develop your leadership skills, and decide which service role is right for you within the chapter!!

We are in the process of developing our mentoring program!  If you are interested, or just curious, please contact Carol Rizer, current president of Iota Nu at Large: crizer@uttyler.edu or call or text (903) 681-4372.  I would be happy to point you in the right direction!!!
